- 2 cups wheat flour
- 125 grams of butter (½ package of 250 g)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 egg yolks.
FILLING
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 250 grams of grated minas cheese
- 4 eggs
- Chopped parsley to taste.
PREPARATION METHOD

- To make the empadinhas, first place the flour, butter and salt in a bowl.
- Then mix well with your fingertips until it forms a crumble.
- Then gradually add the egg yolks and 1 1/2 tablespoons of water. Then knead the dough well until it is smooth.
- Finally, cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
FILLING
- Mix the milk, cheese, butter and eggs. Set aside.
- Next, roll out small portions of dough into pie tins, leaving a little dough to make the tops of the pies.
- Then bake in a preheated medium oven (180 ºC) for about 3 minutes. Then remove the molds from the oven and fill each one.
- Roll out the remaining dough with a rolling pin and make round tops with the help of a glass. The pies are almost ready.
- Finally, cover the pies with the pastry lids. Then bake again for about 8 minutes or until the pies are golden brown.
