Singer Ralf attended the wake of his brother and former stage partner, Chrystian, on the morning of last Thursday, June 20. In a moment of great emotion, Ralf spoke about the pain of losing his brother, who passed away at the age of 67 after being admitted to a hospital.

The Sad Separation of the Brothers

During an interview with the press, Ralf spoke about the years they spent apart due to their busy schedules for their solo careers. “Unfortunately, I couldn’t hug my brother. Our schedules didn’t match. We hadn’t seen each other in four years. It’s very sad. I had already lost my father and my mother. Now, my brother… Music has lost a great artist,” Ralf lamented, as reported by the website Quem.

Praise and Longing

Ralf also made a point of praising his brother, highlighting his determination and passion for music. “We had a lot of affection and love for each other, despite our separate careers. He was a hard worker and never stopped. He sang his whole life and wanted to stay active, do shows, perform… He needed to rest, but he was always a restless guy and would go back and forth. I think the lack of rest — something that was in his nature — took a toll on (his health),” he said.

Emotional Farewell on Social Media

As soon as he learned of his brother's death, Ralf expressed his condolences on social media. “My dear brother… We always did our best. Given our commitments, unfortunately we were unable to say goodbye… but I am sure that our 'Father' will guide you to the light with the Lord Jesus! Rest in peace my brother Chrystian,” he wrote.
