PREPARATION METHOD
- First dissolve the cornstarch in half a cup of milk and bring to the boil over low heat together with the condensed milk and the cream without whey. Then keep stirring until it thickens and turn off until it's room temperature.
- Then dissolve the chocolate or cocoa in the remaining milk (1 cup) and pour into a bowl. Then quickly moisten the champagne cookies in this mixture and place some in the bottom of a baking dish.
- So, when the white cream is at room temperature, start assembling the pave: in a baking dish, arrange alternating layers of white cream and moistened cookie and finish with a layer of cream. Keep this simple pave with champagne cookies in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Tips:
- It's best to assemble this champagne cookie jam in a transparent glass dish, so it's prettier to serve!
- When serving this quick and easy pave with champagne cookies, be sure to sprinkle plenty of chocolate or cocoa powder over the top to make an even layer.
- If you like, you can flavor this cream with a few drops of vanilla essence.
