How to make chipa
Making chips is quick and easy. You should use any type of cheese, sweet sprinkles, butter, yeast, milk, salt and 1 egg for the recipe. First, mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Then lightly grease a baking sheet and bake the dough for about 13 to 15 minutes. When baking, keep an eye on the time to avoid burning the chips. Chipa recipe ingredients
- 1 ½ cups grated cheese (half cured, standard minas, mozzarella or parmesan)
- 1 ½ cups sweet starch
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ tablespoon baking powder
- 5 tablespoons of milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 medium egg
The preparation method for this recipe is very simple and I'm sure that if you follow it step by step you will be able to make your recipe, it will be wonderful.
How to prepare
- Put the flour, butter and egg in a bowl. Mix with your hands to form a floury mixture.
- Add the cheese of your choice and continue mixing with your hands.
- Finally, add the yeast, salt and milk, in that order, and knead until the dough is smooth and homogeneous.
- Place the dough on a worktop, shape it into a rectangle, cut it in half and divide it into 16 pieces. Each piece will be a cookie.
- To shape it, press each piece of dough together with your hands, roll it into a roll about 13 cm long, then close it up like a horseshoe.
- Place the shaped cookies on a baking sheet (40 cm x 40 cm) lightly greased with oil.
- Bake in a medium oven preheated to 200 °C for about 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown on the top and bottom.
