  • 500g wheat flour
  • 250g diced cold butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Cold water (approximately 100ml)

Stuffing:

  • 500g cooked and shredded chicken breast
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped garlic cloves
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 1 can of green corn
  • 1 can of peas
  • 200ml tomato sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped greens to taste

HOW TO MAKE THIS CHICKEN PIE

  1. First, mix the flour with the pinch of salt in a large bowl. Add the diced cold butter and mix until you get a crumbly texture.
  2. Then add the egg to the mixture and incorporate gently until a homogeneous dough forms. If necessary, gradually add cold water until the dough starts to come together. Avoid stirring too much to avoid making the dough heavy.
  3. Then wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to rest.
  4. Then, while the dough is resting, prepare the filling. In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic until golden. Add the shredded chicken, tomatoes, grated carrot, green corn, peas and tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper and add the green peppercorns. Cook for a few minutes and set aside.
