CLASSIC CHEESECAKE

INGREDIENTS

  • 200g cornstarch cookies
  • 100g melted butter

For the Filling:

  • 900g room temperature cream cheese
  • 1 and 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

PREPARATION METHOD

  1. First preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Then crush the cookies into fine crumbs. Mix with the melted butter and press into the bottom of a removable baking dish.
  3. Bake the base for 10 minutes and set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until creamy. Add the sugar and continue beating.
  5. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla.
  6. Add the cream and mix until smooth.
  7. Pour the filling over the cookie base.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until the center is almost firm.
  9. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake in for another hour.
  10. Finally, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
