The preparation method for this recipe is very simple and I'm sure that if you follow it step by step you will be able to make your recipe, it will be wonderful.

PREPARATION METHOD

  1. First, preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin with butter and flour.
  2. Then, in a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well and set aside.
  3. Then, in another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the oil, milk, orange juice and zest, melted chocolate and vanilla essence. Stir until smooth.
  4. Then gradually add the dry ingredients to the liquid mixture, mixing gently until all the ingredients are incorporated and the dough is smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. While the cake is baking, prepare the icing. In a bain-marie, melt the semi-sweet chocolate and add the cream, mixing until you get a creamy, homogeneous consistency. Set aside.
  7. Once the cake is baked, take it out of the oven and leave it to cool in the tin for a few minutes. Then unmold and transfer to a serving plate.
  8. Drizzle the cake with the melted chocolate icing, spreading it evenly over the surface.
  9. Finish with orange zest on top for an extra touch of flavor and decoration.
  10. Finally, serve the chocolate orange cake in generous slices and enjoy its unique combination of sweet citrus flavors!
