INGREDIENTS
Steak roll:
- 4 thin beef steaks (typically rump or duckling)

- 4 slices of bacon
- 4 carrot sticks
- 4 pickled cucumber sticks

- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups of tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup beef stock
Rice:
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups of water
- 1/2 cup peas

Mashed potatoes:
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk

PREPARATION METHOD
Steak roll:
- First season the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Then place a slice of bacon, a carrot stick and a cucumber stick in the center of each steak and roll them up tightly. Secure with toothpicks.
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the rolled steaks and brown them on all sides.
- Finally, pour the tomato sauce and beef stock over the steaks. Cover and cook over a low heat for about 30-40 minutes, or until the meat is tender.
Rice:
- Rinse the rice under cold water and drain.
- Then combine the rice, water and peas in a saucepan. Season with salt to taste.
- Cook the rice according to the instructions on the packet until it is tender and all the liquid has been absorbed.
Mashed potatoes:
- Cook the potatoes in salted water until they are soft.
- Then drain the potatoes and mash them well. Add the butter, milk, salt and pepper and blend until you have a creamy purée.
